Ferrari Dino Rosa: Concept Study for a New Entry Level Mid-Engine Ferrari

Many independent designers have tried to capture the Ferrari spirit in their conceptual proposals, but to be completely honest, very few have really succeeded. Unfortunately for designer Paolo Rosa, we'd classify this study for a smaller mid-engined Ferrari sportscar -supposedly inspired by the 1967 Dino 246 GT- in the first category. In our opinion, the worst design aspect of the Ferrari Dino Rosa is the rather generic front-end. F(i)errari Dino Replica for sale on eBay

We’ve seen more Pontiac Fieros transformed into Italian supercars than the actual car itself, so even if this is the first time that we’ve laid our eyes on a classic Ferrari Dino variant, we can’t say that we’re surprised. Despite the fact that the Dino replica wouldn’t even come close to fooling any car aficionado, we’d give the owner a C+ for at least attempting to create something different. -Continued

Breaking: Ferrari To Unveil New GT Model Online in a Few Days!

Just the other day we showed you scoop pictures of Ferrari’s new GT model (rumored to be called GT California). Today, the Italian sportscar maker announced the launch of a new dedicated website called “FerrariGTCountDown” which will begin revealing the new GT model bit by bit prior to its official public debut that’s set for the Paris Auto Show next October.

Over the coming weeks, Ferrari will gradually reveal its new Gran Tourer car in its entirety and feature some highly virtual road tests too. For the time being and aside from some blurry images –which we captured in case you’re interested, the GT’s engine will be the first bit of it to be revealed to enthusiasts. It will be followed over the next few days by the first photographs of Ferrari’s highly anticipated sportscar whose name will also be revealed. -Continued

Ferrari F140 GT California 2+2 Coupe Scooped

Codenamed internally F149 and most likely to be named GT California or Dino (less chances), when it breaks cover at this year’s Paris Show in September, the car you’re seeing in these scoop pictures from "Autogespot" is Ferrari’s newest 2+2 coupe that will be powered by an upgraded version of the F430’s V8 engine. -Continued

Story has it that the GT California is actually a coupe-cabriolet and not a coupe featuring an electric-folding hardtop that stows away in the trunk. Despite the fact that in these pictures, the car’s trunk does look a bit stretched out, we can’t say for certain whether the GT California is actually a coupe-cabriolet.

Ferrari F250 Concept by Idries Noah Speculates on Dino Model

True, Ferrari’s President Luca di Montezemolo did announce at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month that the Italian company will reveal an all-new model at the forthcoming Paris Show this September. But, even though Montezemolo did not give away any details whatsoever, many people in the automotive industry are speculating that the car he was referring to will be a spiritual successor to the Dino or in other word’s, an entry-level Ferrari powered by a V6 engine.

Maybe it will be a Dino, maybe it won’t – as far as Carscoop is concerned, it remains a mystery. However, in the case that Ferrari will present an entry-level V6-powered model, here’s a rendering from independent car designer Idries Noah. The latter states that he penned the car originally as a Dino concept but he renamed it to F250 (after the legendary 250 GTO) as he believes it has a better ring in it. –More pics after the jump

2010 Ferrari Dino Die-Cast Model: False Alarm...

Just to set things straight concerning the story we wrote earlier today about the new Ferrari Dino that appeared as a teaser picture of Mattel’s forthcoming 1/18 scale model, as one of our readers rightfully pointed out, the picture on GrandPrixLegends’ website turned out to be nothing more than a photoshoped version of a Porsche Cayman…

2009 Ferrari Dino Revealed by Die-Cast Model Seller?

As strange as it may sound, we could have the first official shot of the upcoming Ferrari Dino through a die-cast model website. In particular, GrandPrixLegends uploaded a picture of the car on their site as a preview for Mattel’s 1/18 scale model of the new Ferrari Dino for 2008 that will be priced at just GBP 59 (Euro 78, USD 121).

Mind you, it’s not the first time that a die-cast model company has leaked a picture of an upcoming model on the net –even though it’s not entirely sure that, that’s the case with GrandPrixLegends. Back in 2006, a Chinese toy manufacturer revealed the shape of the Citroen C4 Picasso through a die-cast model (see here) months before we saw pictures of the real car!
