Lincoln Town Car Limo Driver Just Had to Use McDonald's Drive Through…[NSFW]

Thursday, January 10, 2013

Of all the passenger cars that come to mind, a stretched Lincoln Town Car limousine must be one of the most inappropriate vehicles to be in at a McDonald's drive-through.

It's not hard to imagine why, nonetheless, someone insisted on riding his stretch limo to a local drive-through instead of simply parking it and walking a couple of feet into the store to order his meal…or at least he attempted to, as surprise, surprise, he experienced some problems.

Sunday, November 11, 2012

As it turns out, the world's first street-legal electric limousine based on the Nissan Leaf didn't hold its job at the Embassy suites hotel in Nashville, Tennesse, for long as we found the car listed for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $50,000 (equal to €39,400 or GBP 31,500) and a 'Buy it now price' of $57,000 (€44,900 or GBP 35,900).

We first came to know of the existence of the Leaf stretch limo back in the summer from Nissan itself, which even released a video of the eight-passenger model (see below).

Monday, October 22, 2012

Messing about with Chevrolet's Camaro is nothing new or uncommon, but turning a fifth generation model into a party house on wheels for desperate housewives and hooting teenagers, is something you don't get to see very often, which is why this limousine caught our attention.

Made for a company named ShowTime limos, based in the city of Perth in Western Australia, the stretched model is built on the Camaro Transformers Special Edition in SS guise, which means it's powered by GM's 6.2-liter V8 engine that offers up to 426 horsepower.

Mercedes GL-Faced Ford Excursion will Make Limo Drivers "Twice as Much" as Regular Model

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

As many premium and wannabe-premium carmakers found out over the years, the BMW roundel and Mercedes-Benz star are highly regarded by consumers, even if their products aren't always the best.

A limousine maker is a firm believer of the power that lies behind the Mercedes-Benz logo, despite the fact that the car has nothing to do with the Stuttgart-based company's models.

Nissan Leaf EV Spun into a Luxurious Stretch Limousine

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

When even Ferraris and Maseratis have fallen victims to the limousine industry, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the Nissan Leaf has also undergone the intrusive procedure of stretching its body to an extreme length.

The stretched version of Nissan's pure-electric model was manufactured by Imperial Coach Builders of Springfield, Missouri. The custom shop added an extra seat bench at the rear end of the car and re-trimmed the interior with leather upholstery and wooden décor.

Mercedes-Benz G500 "Lang" Pickup Truck is Larger than Life

Monday, June 11, 2012

An extended wheelbase, pickup truck conversion of a Mercedes-Benz G-Class is something you expect to see in the land of infinite highways and not in the land of chocolate, beer and streets so tiny that a Toyota/Scion iQ is used to collect imagery from streets that were too narrow for Google's regular camera cars… Read more »

Thursday, May 24, 2012

The Fiat 500 has made a name for itself as a cute and stylish mini that is ideal for city use thanks to its small footprint.

As you can see, there are no limits in what one can do when fantasy makes you its friend. Though somewhat less radical than the Dodge Viper RT/10 roadster limo we showed you a couple of weeks ago, the Dodge Challenger LX SRT-8 that was displayed at this past weekend's annual Spring Festival of LXs in Irvine, California, is one of those oddities that will always capture the crowd's attention. For $75,000, You Can Fit All Your Friends in a Subaru B9 Tribeca

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

To say that the original Subaru B9 Tribeca's looks are polarizing, would be an understatement, which may explain why the Japanese took a 180 degree turn and rearranged its face to look as a bland as a Chrysler Town & Country a few years back.

What we can't explain is why anyone in the limousine industry would opt to transform the Tribeca into a sausage dog.

If you find the Tribeca stretched limo's looks hard to swallow, then you are sure to choke at the asking price of $75,000. More pictures follow after the break.

Cadillac Plans to Take Over the Limo Market from the Lincoln Town Car with its New XTS

Monday, January 30, 2012

General Motors has revealed new details on its plans for the limousine variants of the 2013 Cadillac XTS, which made its world premiere at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show.

The XTS will replace the DTS sedan not only in the passenger car market but will also take its place in Cadillac's professional vehicle lineup.

At the upcoming 28th Annual International Limousine, Charter and Tour Show that takes place February 13-15 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Cadillac will unveil the XTS "W20 Livery Sedan Package" for professional use, which from what we understand, will retain the regular XTS' wheelbase length.

However, GM said it is currently working on two more versions of the XTS, the extended sedan and limousine, which Cadillac Master Coachbuilder (CMC) licensed manufacturers can build for the chauffeured transportation market by the end of the year.

It Came From eBay Hell: Maserati Quattroporte Limo

Thursday, July 28, 2011

The current generation Maserati Quattroporte measures 200 inches (5,080 mm) bumper to bumper. Why anyone would think such a car needed any more length, let alone 140 inches (3,556 mm) of it, is beyond me but here we are.

This Maserati Quattroporte Limo was found for sale on eBay and comes complete with Silver Pearl paint, seating for 10, three TV’s and...wait for it...illuminated champagne holders!

I haven’t been this excited about a limousine since that airport limo funeral car a few weeks back.
