The first thing that catches your eye as you look at the pictures is the experimental ruby red coloured Marangoni tires – well, for many it will actually be the curvalicious brunette model but that's irrelevant to this story.
Marangoni says that the bespoke “M-Power EvoRed” tires are made from special compounds with high silica content that helps rolling resistance and consequently fuel consumption. The 255/30R20 tires are wrapped around a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels from O.Z. Racing.
In addition, the bodywork of the car has been completely repainted in a special satin paint called Titanium Fluid Metal while the roof, the pillars, the door handles and the grille are finished in gloss black.

The Abarth Punto Scorpione is based on the esseesse model and is powered by the same 180HP 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir engine. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and its top speed is 216 km/h (134 mph).

Today, the Italian company announced that it would reveal two new production editions and a racing version of the Abarth 500 at the forthcoming 2011 Bologna Motor Show, which takes place in Italy from December 3 to 11.
The new production models are the Abarth 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione, the first of which is said to target buyers that would like a sporty model "without going to an extreme", while the other is designed to appeal to those that would like something a little more aggressive.

Maserati has released new video material from the Bologna Motor Show where the Italian carmaker debuted its new MC Sport Line customization program - a series of options that enhance the sporty performance and look of the vehicles. The first model in Maserati's line-up to benefit from the MC Sport Line program is the GranTurismo S which gains a forest of carbon fiber accessories inside and out, as well as suspension modifications. There were plenty of vehicles turning heads at this week's Bologna International Motor Show in Italy, including the all-new Mazda3 5-door Hatchback, the refreshed VW Golf Plus facelift, the VW Scirocco Studie R with its 270HP 2.0 TSI engine, the Maserati GranTurismo S MC-Sports Line and the facelfted Toyota RAV4, Aygo and Yaris models. Also on show were the new Ferrari California coupe-cabriolet, Porsche Cayman and Boxster facelift and many other vehicles that made their Italian premiere in Bologna.
